I'm on here for a few reasons, but mostly because I recently started dating the man I believe to be "the one," and he has bipolar disorder, a mood disorder that impacts us on a daily basis and one that I need to learn more about. I'm really looking to meet and get feedback from people who have any type of experience with the disorder; whether it comes from someone who has it or knows someone who has it, any advice or support would be greatly appreciated. He was only diagnosed a couple of years ago and is still figuring a lot out himself. One of the main reasons I have this journal is to vent when I am having difficulty coping with his moods and need to reach out to people, especially those who understand what it's like to be on the outside looking in. I know his disorder is going to weigh on our relationship, but it's a weight I'm not afraid to carry, with him and with a little support from some friends, because the reward is so worthwhile.
